(Tansy Wine Recipe)

Winemaking Ingredients: Tansy Wine - Wine Making Guides
Large handful of tansy leaves
4 fluid oz / 120 ml strong black tea
3 lb / 1,500 grams sugar
2 lemons
8 pints / 1 gallon cooled, boiled water
1/4 oz / 10 grams wine yeast

Winemaking Method: Tansy Wine - Wine Making Guides
Tansy is a perennial herbaceous plant with bright yellow flowers. Juice the lemons and boil the water. Add to the fermentation bucket with all of the remaining ingredients, except for the yeast, which should be started separately. When the tansy mixture has cooled down to a lukewarm temperature, stir in the yeast, cover and leave for three days, to start the fermentation process. Then strain into a cleaned demijohn, seal using an airlock, and leave for the yeast to thoroughly work itself out, which should take between three and four months. Siphon straight into bottles and leave for just a few weeks before drinking.
