How To Make Rose Petal and Peach Wine

Ingredients: Rose Petal and Peach Wine


2 quarts of rose petals
2 1/2 lb / 1,100 grams peaches
3 lb / 1,350 lbs. sugar
Juice of two lemons
1/2 pint strong black tea
Water up to 1 gallon
Yeast nutrient
Wine yeast

Method - What to Do


Place the stoned peaches, rose petals and sugar in a fermentation bucket and add the boiling water.

Stir vigorously to dissolve the sugar. When cool add the strong tea, lemon juice, yeast nutrient and wine yeast. Cover and leave for seven days in a warm place, stirring daily. Strain through a fine sieve and put liquid into a demijohn and fit an airlock to seal the jar.

Store in a warm place and allow the fermentation to work. When fermentation has ceased, rack the wine into a clean jar and place in a cooler environment and leave. When the wine is clear and stable siphon into bottles.
