How To Make Elderflower Champagne
(Elderflower Champagne Recipe)
Winemaking Ingredients: Elderflower Champagne Recipe - Wine Making Guides
8 to 10 flower heads
2 sliced lemons
8 pints / 1 gallon water
1 1/2 lbs / 680 grams sugar
1 teaspoon citric acid
Winemaking Method: Elderflower Champagne Recipe - Wine Making Guides
Put the elderflowers and sliced lemons into a fermentation bucket and add the water. Leave to soak for 24 to 36 hours. Using a fine sieve, strain the liquid and add the sugar and citric acid. Continue stirring the liquid until the sugar has dissolved and pour into screw-top bottles. Do not screw the top tightly for approximately 14 days, as the Champagne will continue working in the bottles.
This delightful drink will keep for up to three months.
